Britco is a specialty pork plant, and as such they are equipped with the sophistication required to measure and monitor food safety, and coordinate selection and production processes to provide consistent quality, exacting trim specifications, and guaranteed product traceability.

Quality Assurance:  Britco is the only Federally Inspected HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) approved fresh pork plant in Southwest British Columbia. HACCP is an internationally recognized food safety control system. The Codex Alimentarius established by the World Trade Organization strongly recommends the use of HACCP systems to improve food safety. Britco Pork has been operating under Federal Inspection for the past 20 years (establishment registration number 513). In January 1999 it's HACCP Plan received accreditation by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

Capacity:  Contemporary pork processing operations are distinguished by their size, and large scale of operations. Britco stands in sharp contrast to these industry giants. Britco is a specialty operation that has built its business around a commitment to quality and service. The plant has an operating capacity of more than 6,000 hogs per week, which is more than adequate to meet our customers needs without compromising on selection or service.

The commitment to quality inherent in the SUNHAVEN name is built on attention to detail from the farm through the production process. Through its proprietary information system, Britco is able to ensure that all SUNHAVEN FARMS Pork is completely traceable.

Technology:  Britco has the capacity of providing a variety of packaging options, such as CVP, or cry-o-vac packaging. Britco has recently invested in a marinating system for fresh pork that can accommodate a variety of approaches to fresh pork marination and moisture enhancement.
