A Pork Production Tradition Dating Back to 1908

SUNHAVEN FARMS pork is produced exclusively by operations owned and managed by Western Canadian farm families.

Many of our family farms are multi-generational, where the hog farm represents a vital part of a diverse operation, allowing for up to four generations to live and work together on the land.

The Sunhaven Farms system produces "homegrown" hogs from a professionally managed farm group to ensure a safe product of consistently superior quality that can adapt as consumer tastes demand.

To maintain the quality standards set out by our vision, we control every step of the process from growing and procuring the grain, to milling the feed, to recycling the manure nutrients on a large land base as part of an environmentally friendly, sustainable farming system. This is all part of our commitment to responsible stewardship of our resources.

Our commitment to produce pork of unparalleled quality is accomplished with an emphasis on food safety and animal welfare. We employ the very best in feed ingredients, swine genetics and production practices, including:

Canadian Quality Assurance certified production system. Our farms follow a strict set of Standard Operating Procedures that cover animal husbandry and medication use. SUNHAVEN FARMS and BRITCO PORK have developed a trace-back system that assures our pork was produced on our farms using our feeding and management program. Daily sharing of animal health and meat quality information allows us to guarantee our exceptional product quality.
